Rex Ryan is always full of surprises. First he was saying that his team had no chance to make the playoffs, and the next thing you know he’s talking about being Super Bowl favorites. These days he’s just letting birds fly.
Saturday night Ryan attended a Strike Force MMA fight event in Sunrise, Florida. Hershel Walker fought at the event, but we won’t comment about that. I happened to be watching this event and laughed when I saw good ol’ Rex. I laughed even harder when I saw him throw up the middle finger (shown below) to a cell phone camera. I couldn’t help but like him even more as a coach after that. The big grin on his face was priceless, too.
The Jets’ organization fined Ryan $50,000 for the gesture, saying his actions were “stupid and inappropriate.” The NFL is also investigating and will probably fine him as well.
