Week 14 Fantasy: In The Club/Out

welkerIn The Club:

New England Patriots WR Wes Welker:

Carolina surprisingly has the 5th best pass defense in the league, but Welker seems like he can’t be stopped.  In his past three games he has 31 receptions for 391 yards, but has not scored.  Look for Brady and Welker to end that scoreless streak.

Projected: 8 rec 78 yds 1 td

Buffalo Bills RB Fred Jackson:

Buffalo still claims Jackson to be their feature back and he should do well against Kansas City.  Though he may lose some carries to “Beast Mode,” the Chiefs’ pourus run defense allows plenty to go around (they’ve given up 40+ in back-to-back games).

Projected: 17 car 87 yds 2 rec 13 yds 1 td

New Orleans Saints RB Pierre Thomas:

Mike Bell is dealing with a knee injury and Reggie Bush is struggling, so look for Thomas to be a good start this week against the Falcons.

Projected: 16 car 76 yds 4 rec 18 yds 1 td

forteOut The Club:

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte:

I don’t know what to tell you about the Bears run game this year;  it just has not been pretty.  In their last meeting with the Packers he only ran for 55 yards on 25 carries,  and in three career games he has only scored once.

Projected: 23 car 67 yds 4 rec 13 yds 0 tds

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Antonio Bryant:

Two words: Darrelle Revis.  This man is an absolute stud and will shut Bryant down.  Freeman’s play of late doesn’t help the situation either.

Projected: 4 rec 34 yds 0 td

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy:

He was nowhere to be found last week and that will most likely be the same result this week.  The Giants have only allowed 65 ypg on the ground at home this year.  Last week he was shut down by a weak Atlanta defense, and the same cannot be said for New York.

Projected: 16 car 57 yds 3 rec 10 yds 0 tds

meachemSleepers:

New Orleans Saints WR Robert Meachem:

He quietly has eight touchdowns this year.  Brees spreads the ball around to 7 different receivers almost every game this year and Meachem has seemed to be his target in the red zone.  They are            playing a weak Atlanta defense so look for this to be a high scoring game.

Projected: 4 rec 67 yds 1 td

Tennessee Titans QB Vince Young:

The last two weeks Young has been playing fairly well from a fantasy standpoint.  He has thrown 628 yards, three touchdowns and one interception in his last two contests.  The Titans play the Rams this week who have let six quarterbacks throw for multiple touchdowns against them.

Projected: 17/24 221 yds 2 tds 1 int
