Last week I posted another 5-3 record. I look to improve on that mark this week. Here’s week 11.
*Prediction season record: 48 – 38
In the Club:
Pittsburgh WR Santonio Holmes:
Santonio has been struggling this season but the past few weeks he has been coming back. 13 catches for a little over 180 yards the past two weeks isn’t bad. He should continue this trend against a weak Chiefs secondary.
Projected: 6 rec 89 yds 1 td
Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers:
Plays a San Fransisco defense that has been stingy as of late. The absence of Nate Clements though will open up the passing game. Look for Aaron Rodgers to hook up with Donald Driver and Greg Jennings often in this one because Ryan Grant will most likely struggle to move the chains.
Projected: 21/33 275 yds 2 tds 1 int
New Orleans Saints WR Marques Colston:
Don’t be the idiot who benches Colston because he has been struggling. He is bound to break out here soon especially playing the Buccaneers this week. Look for Brees to be his normal self and find Colston frequently this week.
Projected: 6 rec 90 yds 1 td
Out the Club:
Seattle Seahawks RB Justin Forsett:
The William’s wall in Minnesota is not what you want to see in your first start. The Vikings defense has held teams to only 76 yards a game on the ground and only 2 rushing touchdowns all season. I’d say Forsett is a no go this week.
Projected: 14 car 45 yds 4 rec 23 0 tds
New York Jets DST:
In the last meeting with the Patriots they shut down Tom Brady. I don’t see that happening this week. In the first matchup the Pats were without Wes Welker. Since he’s back, I see the game being very different. Brady has been rolling lately and after last weeks tough loss nothing will change.
New York Jets RB Thomas Jones:
Over the last five meetings with New England he has had only one decent game; last year when he had 100 yards and a score. Yes he has been hot lately but the Patriots will get ahead early in this one and force the Jets to abandon the run game. Only three backs have scored against the Pats and TJ will not be the fourth.
Prediction: 18 car 56 yds 4 rec 21 yds 0 tds
Sleepers:
Cincinnati Bengals RB Bernard Scott:
With Benson most likely out this week Scott will see most of the touches. Last week Jamaal Charles lit up Oakland. Scott should have a decent game this week seeing that the Bengals Offense is a tad bit better than Kansas City’s. Look to use Scott as a nice flex option this week.
Prediction: 15 car 78 yds 4 rec 15 yds 1 td
Detroit Lions QB Mathew Stafford:
Yes I know, a QB from Detroit. Playing Cleveland this week it has the potential to be a big week for Stafford. Browns Passing Defense ranks 20th in the league. If Stafford can find Calvin this game he should actually have a decent week. We will see how it goes.
Projected: 19/25 225 yds 2 tds 1 int
