I’m going to try to leave last week behind after finishing 4-7. I’ll consider that my free pass for this season. Anyways… here are my picks for this week:
Season Prediction Record: 34-28

In The Club:
Jaguars QB David Garrard:
All I have to say about this start is Tennessee pass defense. They rank 32nd, which is last in the league if you didn’t t know. David Garrard torched Tennessee for 323 yards and 3 touchdowns in their first meeting this season. I mean this year any quarterback can be a top start against the Titans.
Projected: 23/33 290 yds, 2 tds, 1 int
Chargers QB Phillip Rivers:
Last week LT struggled against a bad run defense. Phillip Rivers is among one of the top 5 fantasy QB’s this year. He should have a decent week this week against Oakland.
Projected: 20/30 230 yds 2 tds 1 int
Lions RB Kevin Smith:
Yes I am picking a Lions player this week. Kevin Smith is facing a soft St. Louis run defense. They have given up 8 touchdowns to running backs in the last three weeks. Look for Smith to have a big week.
Projected: 24 car 89 yds 4 rec 31 yds 1 td
Out of the Club:
49ers RB Michael Crabtree:
Last week Crabtree had a decent debut. Crabtree plays the number 6th ranked pass defense in Indianapolis this week. Not to mention they have only given up 2 touchdowns this year. So if you had plans to start him, bench him.
Projected: 3 rec 41 yds 0 tds
Vikings WR Bernard Berrian:
Plain and simple, Sydney Rice is taking over. They are playing Green Bay and Favre is going back to Lambeu so he is a borderline play this week.
Projected: 4 rec 67 yds 0 td
49ers DST :
They are playing the Colts enough said. Peyton Manning has been an absolute fantasy stud this year and the 49ers have been struggling. Look for a poor week out of them.

Sleepers:
Eagles RB Lesean McCoy:
Brian Westbrook left last weeks game with a concussion and is listed on the injury report this week. The Giants defense is tough but have tailed out these last 3 weeks. And 7 out of there last 9 opponent’s running backs have scored. Look for Lesean to get a good amount of touches this week.
Projected: 18 car 78 yd 4 rec 29 yds 1 td
Bears WR Devin Hester:
Bears had a rough week last week and are looking to come back strong against the Cleveland Browns. Jay Cutler has not had a bad game after a loss like that. I mean it’s hard to do worst. Look for Hester to be one of his top targets.
Projected: 5 rec 67 yds 1 td
LT should be in the club. I know he’s lost a step but there’s no way he goes three straight games without a TD, especially against the Raiders who he has owned.
So obvious!!!!
Yeah I’d say any team that is facing the Colts and Peyton Manning, the Saints and Drew Brees or the Pat’s and Tom Brady would be bad starts defensively. . . not really “Out The Club” worthy.
