Football Movies of All-Time

It’s almost unfair to try to list a top five since there are so many great ones to chose from.  After much thought, here are Club Seat’s Top 5 Football Movies of All-Time.

FNL5. Friday Night Lights (2004)

” Being perfect is about being able to look your friends in the eye and know that you didn’t let them down, because you told them the truth. And that truth is that you did everything that you could. There wasn’t one more thing that you could’ve done. Can you live in that moment, as best you can, with clear eyes and love in your heart? With joy in your heart? If you can do that, gentlemen, then you’re perfect. ”

4. The Program (1993)

” I don’t know, its the battle, the going to war with the other guys, hanging together, having our own dorm, staying in hotels the night before the games, setting ourselves apart, being different than everybody else, having a chance to be somebody, to do something that people look up to you for, your strength, your courage. Not everybody can play football….. We’re the lucky ones. ”

brianssong3. Brian’s Song (1971)

” I love Brian Piccolo. And tonight, when you hit your knees, please ask God to love him. ”

2. Remember The Titans (2000)

” You will wear a jacket, shirt, and tie. If you don’t have one buy one, can’t afford one then borrow one from your old man, if you don’t have an old man, then find a drunk, trade him for his. ”

1. Rudy (1993)

“You’re 5 foot nothin’, 100 and nothin’ and you have nearly a speck of athletic ability. And you hung in there with the best college football team in the land for two years. And you’re gonna walk outta here with a degree from the University of Notre Dame. In this life, you don’t have to prove nothin’ to nobody but yourself.” – And of course,  “Rudy, Rudy, Rudy, Rudy…”
