Two ejections in one week ?! Looks like a couple people will be taking a hit to the pocket book. The Jets’ James Ihedigbo (whose last name could have landed him in this post) threw a right cross to the face of Bills tight end Derek Fine and missed. I don’t even know why he was so upset, but Fine’s helmet got knocked off and he actually got punched in the face by Marques Murrell. He didn’t even get caught… yet that is. Don’t think Derek Fine is Mr. Innocent either, as he threw some punches as well. Luckily a royal rumble didn’t start after this little tussle. All three of these players will most likely get a little note from the league.
I was at the Bucs – Panthers game on Sunday and had no idea what the hell Dante Wesley was thinking with his hit on Clifton Smith. The ball wasn’t even close to Smith and he was left motionless for at least 10 seconds after that head shot Wesley put on him. Immediately after there was a brawl (which was sweet to watch by the way) and I’m not talking pushing and shoving either. There were numerous players throwing some punches that they didn’t show on TV.
Wesley got a worthy boot from the game and then acted like more of a clown and threw a tantrum on the sidelines. Did he miss what happened on the field? This didn’t affect the return game, though, as Sammie Stroughter filled in great for Smith and took a 98-yard kick return to the house. Those are rare occurrences for Bucs fans in case you didn’t know. But if Dante Wesley doesn’t get fined after this I will be shocked.
“Luckily a royal rumble didn’t start after this little tussle.”
You kidding? I would pay to see a NFL Royal Rumble!
Wesley is a joke…should get fined some serious cash and suspended.
