To LaDainian Tomlinson,
I used to be a big fan of yours. You used to be humble, soft-spoken, and score about 20 touchdowns a year.
However, you recently voiced your opinion as to why you’re still the best back in the NFL over Adrian Peterson. After watching the weeks the two of you had, I’m starting to think it’s about time to start putting those feelings aside.
Let’s compare your week 1 lines:
You: 13 car, 55 yds, 4.2 avg, 1 rec, 1 yd, 1 td, 1 fumble lost
Peterson: 25 car, 180 yds, 7.2 avg, 1 rec, 18 yds, 3 tds
No offense, but are your eyes starting to fail on you, too? You were playing the Raiders and supposed to salvage my Fantasy week. What happened?
You attributed your reasons for being better than AP to being a “more complete back.” You can’t be serious can you? Again, no offense, but I’m not sure if you’re still the best back on your team. You often fall to the ground untouched, you’re becoming more and more fragile by the minute, and rarely do you make the first defender miss.
You for some strange reason also said that “Adrian has to come off the field sometimes on third down.” Are you oblivious to your own situation? Not only are you never on the field for third downs, you aren’t even on the field for the majority of possessions. This past week you and your teammate Darren Sproles each had 14 touches.
By the way, have you seen this run? I think Peterson broke more tackles in it than you have in the past two years. Again, no offense.
Good luck to you and your Chargers for the rest of the season. Tell Sproles I said Kudos for scoring the game-winning touchdown for me if you can. Thanks.
Every fan you’ve lost that’s wondering what you did with the old LT
