Return Of The Mack!

pedro2A couple nights ago in Philadelphia, Pedro Martinez looked like the Pedro of old.  He tossed seven innings, allowed only five hits and gave up no runs.  Pedro also stuck out nine and didn’t walk a batter.  He proved he still has his stuff as he outpitched Tim Lincecum, who also went seven, giving up two runs, and striking out eleven.

Pedro improved to 3-0 on the season and has looked very good in each start.  Him not pitching in the first half of the season was the best thing for him.  It’s now crunch time and he’s fresh.  If Pedro and everyone else on the staff continues to pitch the way they’ve been pitching, watch out!  The have got to be the favorite to win the NL again, right?
