With Vince Young’s latest stupidity, he gave me the bright idea to start another branch to Club Seat titled, “Athletes Say The Darndest Things.”
Forgive me if I’m a little late on this topic. I’ve had one of the worst periods of time in my life with a stomach bug (yes, it was coming out both ends simultaneously for the people whose day’s I just made).
Here is what Young told Esquire in the September issue: “I don’t know when I’ll start again. But I will be the next black quarterback to win a Super Bowl. And I will be in the Hall of Fame.”
At least he knew better than to bring that nonsense to ESPN or Sports Illustrated. Vince, the closest you’ll come to the Hall is the Hall of Fame Game you just played in verse the Bills where you posted a typical 53.8 QB Rating. Young said there’s nothing wrong with being confident. Newsflash, there’s a fine line between being confident and being dumb. Homeboy just sprinted across that thing like Usain Bolt.
