A lot of people weren’t too fond of Dwight Howard’s game 5 press conference comments, I’m not one of those people. It needed to be done.
Too many times this postseason the Magic have gone through prolonged slumps during games and done nothing about it. In their game one win they only won by 5 points when they led by as many as 28. That’s simply unacceptable. The bad shots keep coming and Howard is nonexistent. When the team isn’t shooting well, you have two options. Put new guys in, or give the ball to the face of your franchise. I prefer the latter. “When you have a dominant player, let him be dominant.” Ten shots? C’mon mannnnn.
Teams live and die by the three. But when dwight howard is on your team that isnt necessary, give him the ball. He is a beast, he should get at least 20-25 touches a game. That doesnt mean he shoots it every time but he needs touches, he causes double teams and forces other players on his team to be open.
